Celestial Storm Review – Fire

Hey guys, and welcome back to the second post in my Celestial Storm Review. Today we will have a shorter post on the notable Fire types of the set.

Magcargo

Magcargo

This is one of my favorite new cards from Celestial Storm. They hardly changed it from the original card, only removing an attack I believe. With Zoroark defining the current format, I think this card will see serious play. It essentaily gives you any card of your choice in a Zoroark deck, taking the place of Mallow, who takes up your supporter for your turn. I believe this is a top tier card, 4.5/5.

Blaziken-GX

Blaziken-GX

This card hits hard, but that’s about all. While it might not have any insane comboes or tech options, 210 damage is nothing to scoff at. With either Alolan-Marowak card, or Kiawe for that matter, you can do some massive damage at least every other turn. However, being a Stage 2 is not amazing, which can hurt its consistency. 2.5/5 stars.

Torkoal

Torkoal

This definitely looks like an interesting setup card. It can mill your own deck, but at the same time possibly grab energy. I think you probably still want to use Kiawe on the first turn, but maybe this could work. 2/5.

Oricorio (Baile Forme)

Oricorio

Right off the bat, I’m just going to say that I don’t think this is a good card. It can burn and confuse, two of the less good special conditions in the game. Nice try, Pokémon, but this card is terrible. 1 star.
