A Crazily Creepy Cactus Deck! Cacturne CRI Deck

Hello my amazing Pokémon lovers! Today, as promised, I will be shelldering out a Cacturne CRI deck. And yes, that was indeed a pun. You’re welcome.

Recently I did a Crimson Invasion Spotlight on Cacturne CRI, and I said that I would build a deck off of it, so here we are. I really love this deck, mainly because of the two to one prize trade, and also because it is a very cheap deck, able to fit within a $50 – $80 dollar budget.

Cacturne CRI Deck

Pokémon – 20

4 Cacnea CRI 5
4 Cacturne CRI 6
4 Tapu Koko SMP 30/31
4 Trubbish GRI 50
2 Garbodor BKP 57
2 Garbodor GRI 51

Trainers – 28

4 Professor Sycamore
3 N
3 Guzma

4 Ultra Ball
1 Nest Ball
2 Field Blower
2 Revitalizer
2 Counter Catcher
3 Choice Band
2 Float Stone

2 Po Town

Energy – 12

4 Grass Energy
4 Rainbow Energy
4 Double Colorless Energy

Cacturne’s main attack, for one Grass energy, does 30 damage, plus 60 if the defending Pokémon has any damage on it. My strategy here is to use Tapu Koko to dish out splash damage to all of the opponent’s Pokémon, then use Cacturne to finish off with one energy. Garbodor is to shut down Lele, Gardevoir, Metagross, Zoroark, and all of those other great ablilities that are in the meta currently. Trashalance Garb is simply used as an extra attacker. One of my favorite additions to this deck is Po Town, which does instant damage upon evolution. It hurts you as well, but that doesn’t really matter, since your Cacturne’s will be one hit anyway.

Price Guide

4-4 Cacturne line – $2.60
4 Tapu Koko Promo – $24.00
4-2-2 Garbodor line – $11.10
4 Sycamore – $6.00
3 N – $8.00
3 Guzma – $7.50

All Item cards minus tools – $5.60
3 Choice Band – $3.30
2 Float Stone – $7.00

2 Po Town – $1.60

Total Cost – $77

All in all, I think this is a fairly cheap deck, what with no Tapu Lele, and you can replace the tapu kokos for hoopas in order to make it more like $60. See you all later, and make sure to subscribe!
