Do you want to build a deck based off of the new set Fates Collide? Well, today I will be showing you how to build a Mega Alakazam deck. Get ready to make an awesome deck, have fun, and above all, bend spoons.
Mega Alakazam Deck
What cards to use:
To build a Alakazam deck, you need to use certain cards to make it work. Alakazam and Mega Alakazam are definitely needed, and Alakazam Spirit Link. Dimension Valley makes Mega Alakazam’s attack only cost 1 energy, and Devolution Spray will devolve Alakazam to reuse the Kinesis ability. Scoop Up and AZ will help with Shaymin, Hoopa, Crobat, and of course Alakazam himself.
Decklist:
4 Alakazam-EX
3 M Alakazam-EX
3 Zubat
3 Golbat
2 Crobat
1 Wobbuffet
2 Shaymin-EX
2 Hoopa-EX
4 Sycamore
3 N
2 Lysandre
1 AZ
3 Dimension Valley
4 VS Seeker
4 Super Scoop Up
4 Devolution Spray
4 Ultra Ball
1 Super Rod
3 Alakazam Spirit Link
2 Mystery Energy
5 Psychic Energy
Strategy:
Now that I have given you a list to play around with, here is how to use it. Wobbuffet is the best start you can have. Play Hoopa to get three Alakazams out, and throw them some spirit links. Next turn, start evolving those Pokémon to hit with Kinesis. Use devolution spray to reuse it, and attack for crazy damage with the mega. The Crobat line works pretty much the same way as Alakazam-EX, so use the same strategy to work them.

Which Wobbuffet? I don’t play often. I’m assuming the bats are the Phantom Forces damage dealers.
The wobbuffet is the phantom forces one. As for the bats, you are correct. Their effect is very similar to that of Alakazam-EX, so I felt like they went together.
I am a couple months into collecting (never bought a pack as a kid, bought one for the hell of it and it was overwith lol) and am learning the ropes. Im looking into getting into competitive tourneys and have been on the fence as to what to put my money into deck wise. I knew I wanted Alakazam and this sealed it. This will be the first deck I hit the table with. The Shaymin cards are on the burner and will be mine soon. Gracias!
d didn’t throw in crobat, instead threw in a couple mewtwo ex with damage change (for a good active Pokémon to deal base damage and “make the battlefield weird”) and an absol (ROS) for more rando damage.
